General Information for the 2025

By submitting an abstract – submitters agree that short talks and posters can also presented virtually and will remain available to all registered attendees on demand through December 31, 2025.

How to Submit:

ALL participants submitting an abstract or applying for a travel grant MUST register to the 2025 Annual Meeting

  • The Abstract submission portal access for short talks and poster presentations will be provided in the registration confirmation email.

  • Awards Applications must be made through the Awards and Grants online portal.

Short Talks

  • Short Talk Presenters are expected to attend the meeting and make their presentation in-person in Budapest;

  • Short Talks Abstracts submitters can also which are NOT selected, will be offered a Poster Presentation. 

  • (In this case, no second submission will be needed. The submission process will include a question on whether submitters are interested in a poster if not selected.)

Poster Fire Sessions

When submitting your abstract for a Short Talk and/or Poster Presentation, you can also indicate your preference to be considered for the Poster-Fire Sessions. The Annual Meeting will have two Poster-Fire Presentation—a dynamic format that includes:

  • A 3-minute timed presentation (of your abstract)

  • Up to 3 slides summarizing your research, key findings, or arguments

Simply indicate your preference when submitting your abstract.

Posters

In-Person Poster Presentations will include:

  • Full size printed poster to be displayed on the poster boards during the 4 days of the Annual Meeting (poster to be provided by the submitters)

  • PDF poster file display on the virtual platform (poster gallery)

  • Optional 3 min video presentation to be included on the virtual platform (poster gallery)

Virtual Posters will include: 

  • PDF poster file display on the virtual platform (poster gallery)

  • Optional 3 min video presentation to be included on the virtual platform (poster gallery)

Awards & Travel Grants​

The OTS offers the opportunity for members to apply for various awards to highlight the accomplishment of students, postdocs and young investigators.

​

Travel grants are also awarded to support the attendance of students and postdocs at the Annual Meeting.
